Michael Shapiro is a Vice President at Sidewalk Infrastructure Partners (SIP), where he is responsible for origination, diligence, and execution of transactions.
Previously, Michael was a member of Sidewalk Labs’ investment team, where he led investments in advanced mobility and social infrastructure and worked on the formation of SIP. Prior to joining Sidewalk Labs, he worked for MassAve Group, a family office in Washington, D.C. focused on long-term investments in business and health services companies.
Before that, Michael was Economic Policy Advisor for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign, where he led economic policy related to job creation, competition policy, fiscal and tax matters, healthcare, and manufacturing and trade. He previously served as a Senior Policy Advisor at the White House National Economic Council in the Obama Administration and held roles at the Office of Management and Budget, the Council of Economic Advisers, and the Treasury Department.
Michael graduated from Yale Law School and Princeton’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, and lives in Brooklyn, New York.
