The Future of Infrastructure

Pioneering technology-enabled infrastructure to transform urban life and create long-term value

01 / Context

SIP believes technology will – and should – reshape infrastructure

Sidewalk Infrastructure Partners (SIP) believes that technology will transform infrastructure. The world is currently facing existential threats from climate change, greater urbanization, and a range of other new and growing challenges, and many existing infrastructure systems are crumbling and outdated, strained by decades of under-funding and under-innovation. SIP was founded to shape the future of infrastructure to take on these challenges and funding gaps, leveraging innovation to make infrastructure more resilient, sustainable, and efficient and enhancing safety, convenience, accessibility, affordability, and quality of life.

In the 1800s, the steam engine connected cities by bringing people and goods from one city to another by railroad. At the turn of the 20th century, the automobile reshaped streets. Now in the 21st century, from autonomous vehicles to artificial intelligence, SIP believes technology will again revolutionize infrastructure and transform the way the world lives. SIP uniquely combines technology expertise, infrastructure experience, and creative capital to shape the future of infrastructure lasting decades for disruption and opportunities to come.
